The plot thickens. Now this is happening, and this is on the same computer I programmed the scanner about a month ago.
What am i missing. I have all the speeds set the same on the software, port and the scanner.
Almost bald, and black and blue from ear lobe to ear lobe!
Did you check that your baud rate setting equals what the BC_UP program is looking for?
That is not a necessary step. The baud rate is fixed during update and unrelated to any other settings.
I am going to try it on another computer using just the serial cable to see what happens.
Not sure what that part means...
BCT15: Be sure you are using the scanner's front port for the update.
NOTE..USE THE FRONT PORT FOR UPDATES ON THE BCT15.
Could someone post step by step procedures for the firmware upgrade for the BC15? How do you install the BCT15 V1 file since it isn't a .exe file?
I'm in St Louis, Mo and the STLMPD just changed over to P25 Digital. I can hear them at points but the signal is garbled and comes and goes even when close to their transmission tower.
