Regarding the AllComm Wireless site in Sylacauga: Sylacauga Site Details (AllComm Wireless (LTR))

I programmed this as an LTR system (as shown in the database) and heard nothing after several days of monitoring. I programmed separate systems as MotoTRBO, DMR One Frequency, P25 and NXDN.

There is traffic on the MotoTRBO system but not the others. When the system is active with a transmission the display on the SDS200 shows "DMR T3".

As programming this system MotoTRBO seems to work should I leave it at that or am I missing something and there is a better way to program it?

You are most likely hearing an unidentifiable SmartRadio Connect Plus site, in which case MotoTRBO Trunked would be the correct setting. I have not found any of the AllComm LTR sites to be active in the last five or six years and the system is probably deprecated, having been replaced by the SmartRadio system. In some areas the LTR frequencies are now used on the new system, in other areas completely different frequencies are used.

Can you provide any details of the system you are receiving? Frequencies, talkgroups, site or system numbers, LCNs - anything that could be helpful in confirming it as a SmartRadio site? I probably won’t be able to receive it from my Cullman station, but never say never.

Here are some talkgroups heard on what is listed as the 'Sylacauga Site'.

190 "HMA Central" with weather report and post radio checks (Honda Manufacturing of Alabama?)
191 "I have an associate with personal restrictions"
192 10-4
199 "just turned on 77"
220 10-4
239 "they working to fix it now"
249 "write down 827"
268 "920 to 44"
269 "got empties, ready to go back to Talladega"
286 10-6
287 "east pad" "WW32 going to line 1" "when you get to Honda there will be a guy to escort you to WW32"
289 "Meet me upstairs"

After reading your reply and comparing frequencies listed for AllComm and SmartRadio, I agree. I will program the SmartRadio systems and see what I hear.

Based on what I am hearing, I am beginning to think this system is somehow related to Honda. It's not like other systems with a mix of different business type - it all seems to be related. At least all that I have heard so far.

Given those TGIDs, this looks like a separate system.

Here is the title of the thread I started for the Smart Radio sites that I can hear:

SmartRadio DMR sites 18 & 27
