Hey mikey60...why don't you just keep your nose in your own business on your side of the state....just because they do it one way in your neck of the woods don't mean its don't that way everywhere. I don't need to prove anything to you...you are a nobody to me...you are not located anywhere near me and are not contributing anything positive to my listening area...so do me a favor and go hang out in the forums where you can actually contribute something helpful and not critisism.

"just because they do it one way in your neck of the woods don't mean its don't that way everywhere."

And just because you think you know what you are talking about doesn't mean you do... We all agree that comms from Allegan Co are showing up on MPSCS. You believe that the officers' radios are transmitting _at the same time_ on the EDACS and APCO25 system and that's just not possible. No biggie.

rdale...why don't you read my posts more closely...what you are saying "is not possible" is EXACTLY what I'M saying....you think that you are disagreeing with me but in fact you are saying what I have been stating!! I am currently logging data (using Pro96com) on TG#3211 and from what I see so far...they have just as many different radio ID's as Van Buren TG#3414. According to Mickey60....a patched system would show few unique radio ID's.....how many is a few??? who knows....but so far Allegan Central is neck and neck with Van Buren Central for the number of unique radio ID's....and Van Buren is not patched in any way.

What data are you logging on the ProVoice system with ETrunker?

No I wish...I have a Pro-96. I am logging data using Pro96com...I am locked on the Fennville, MI Tower (307). I have the control channel locked and am logging everything on that tower of which MOST traffic is Allegan TG# 3211. I have plans of getting a LPE-200 Provoice radio but can't justify the cost until someone figures out the Site ID. I am thinking of going to the County and signing up for a ride-along with one of the county deputies...just to check out their radios...watch how they operate them, and ask lots of questions. The thing I really hate about the Pro96com software is that it does not allow you to listen when you are logging...that sucks! I just shut the logging down and started listening...sounds like people aren't slowing it down for this fog and there's quite a few accidents happening.

Just a couple of things. By you talking to people like that, you will not make any friendships, instead you are burning bridges. The people that have been trying to help you figure this out know a lot about the MPSCS system. I think you should take the time to listen to them rather then telling them to mind their bussness, they are just as interested as you are. Here are a couple more things. Here in Washtenaw Count we have something simular going on. MSP has a talkgroup that is listed as 81P911. It is the Washtenaw County Sheiff Talkgroup. However the only traffic that is on there is the WCSD cars-no dispatch. This is a patched talkgroup, and during major incidents, you will actually hear MSP and WCSD dispatch on it. Allegan county decided to go with the uhf edac provoice system for all their police fire and ems. It makes absolutly no sense that their pd units would be transmitting on MPSCS, if they were going to do that, they could have just went with the MPSCS system. Interoptibility is a major concern, therefore I really believe what you are hearing is a "patch or simulcast" from their provoice system. Since MSP has no provoice radios they have to be able to talk somehow. And if it is patched it will even sound like Allegan is transmitting on the MPSCS system when they really are not, there just patched.
I am going to come over that way this week and get a reading from PRO96com and put this to rest since all you want to do is stir the pot. But if you want to really resolve this issue you would work with your friends on this side of the state to find out exactly what is going on. You oviously dont, because you would have never posted here if you did know exactly what is going on.
Remember that Mikey is the designer(maker what ever!-cant thing of the word right now!! :) ) of PRO96Com, you should really listen to him when it comes to pro96com

So, help us help you instead of going on the defensive. If it truly is the opposite way, I am sure that these guys here will fess up to be incorrect, and so will I

Eric...to be completely frank I could care less if I burn some bridges. I made a statement at the beginning of this thread...not a question asking for help...I have been the one that has been attacked on the issue ever since I posted it...so now I am on the defensive. There seems to be more people around here that want to flame then to help. I have contributed alot of info about MY listening area...Identified...many, many talkgroups in MY area...I don't need someone on the other side of the state trying to profess their vast knowledge of the system. I don't spend my time worrying about how the system works...I spend my time Identifying unknown and new talkgroups. This seems to me a thankless site anyways...you contribute and do you get credit or even a thank you...heck no..who gets the credit...this website. Case in point...I submitted the ENTIRE Consumers Energy Talkgroup list...the whole fleet, every talkgroup for the entire state and it is correct, not the incorrect and extremely limited info that was listed...go check it out...that is more info then I bet ANY single person has contributed...but did I even get a thank you...NOPE! Looking back I would never have given up that info to this site. And because of this I have not submitted info on several Unknown/Unlisted talkgroups that my buddy and I have positively identified. Patched, not-patched, simulcasted, rebroadcasted....at this point I don't give a rip...Allegan Central Dispatch is on the MSPCS system and is there to stay...PERIOD...they have to because it is their sole means of communication with the surrounding counties and the MSP troopers that they dispatch. As far as I'm concerned this topic can be closed...I'm through arguing and I'm through contributing...I'll keep my mouth shut and my info to myself.

Post subject: Allegan County is on M.P.S.C.S!!!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to post new information.

I don't care if its right or wrong, misleading or incorrect.

You took the time and effort to help others.

Unlike a small few that have nothing to contribute but criticism.

Unfortunately they usually have the largest number of posts.

I want to thank you,

It's not a limitation of the pro96comm software that doesn't allow you to listen at the same time. Once the pro-96 is put in the "control channel dump" mode it only sends data thru the interface port. IT's a limitation of the radio.
