The state system wasn't intended to replace low band and/or conventional analog paging. The explanation as to why is a bit lengthy, but it's a widely used setup nationwide. Many counties and cities with P25 systems use analog paging for Fire and EMS.

Talbot County apparently tones out over FIRST, according to another poster. Not sure what they did to make it work, but their tones do sound very crisp compared to QAC's tones which are simulcast with their VHF alerting channel.

Hmm... 460.550 isn't licensed properly for this use.

It sounds like they are only transmitting from Dans Rock at the moment. My guess is they aren't done getting sites online. They may have an application in progress.

Does anyone have the two tones for Cumberland city fire and Cumberland city ambulance that was on 453.100 before the change to Dans?

Thanks
