There is a possibility that they have fully moved all freqs over to the P25 and turned off the old Motorola Smartnet, as all freqs now liced for it are liced for P25, and LSM... If someone can confirm this it would be appreciated.

If you're referring to the old analog system 1A0A yes it's been turned off. The departments that were on this system like public works, street dept etc are now on the P25 system 597 which is simulcast.

That system is showing as Connect Plus. I can only receive one site from where I am and it's labeled 127-1 on dsd.

Ok which site is the one your near, Ligonier right? Because this confirms that its part of the ERS-OCI TRBOconnect system and is site 1. Now we just need the other LCN's etc... Awesome!

I've owned an admin update for the new allen county system, giving some of the new talkgroups. So I figured the transition was close.

Yeah the site I can receive is on 452.2125. I actually awhile back was going to sit down and gather a bunch of info on this system and ran out of time.

As far as the Allen county stuff the street department and whatnot are not encrypted right now. I usually listen on my way to Ft Wayne and back home. I don't know exactly what I was hearing though on the talkgroups as they were talking about a sump pump not working and getting a crew to fix it. Could be engineering or something.

The Smartnet system is still considered a ‘backup’ and are still programmed in public safety radios. Last I heard it tested was last year sometime around 0200.

The CC is gone, and now only activity is P25. The Smartnet is offlined, was upgraded to P25.

The old Smartnet system is indeed P25 now and both it and Allen Public Safety both have the same Sysid 597. However, Allen PS is indicated in my sds100 as site 01, and the new P25 system (old Gov sys) is site 02. The frequencies are completely different for each site, and site 02 is completely unencrypted so far. I listen to site 02 every night trying to identify the TG's. I have not heard anything unencrypted in site 01 yet, so the same TG's are not broadcast on both systems, as far as I can tell. I submitted all of the frequencies and several TG's for site 02 a few weeks ago and still don't see anything posted about it in the DB.
