Is the Alliant Energy System System Type: iDEN Standard and System Voice: iDEN TDMA analog or digital or both? Also is it Motorola, EDACS, LTR, APCO 25, or Project 25?

The system type is iDEN (same type used by Nextel). TDMA is digital, see Wiki:

You will most likely see more and more energy companies going to secure and encrypted radio/communications systems over the next couple of years - especially those Utility Companies that own Nuclear Power Plants. These upgrades are strongly suggested under Homeland Security Department protocols and quite a few of the companies are complying. This is also being initiated in the private sector where companies have military defense contracts. Just the price that we must all pay to keep the terrorist ears away from sensitive communications.
