Blm freq change
I heard that blm equipment is converting to narrowband( digital) frequencys?
Is that true and if so where can i find the new freqs? At current i am still
recieving them on 169.7750 (carson district) repeaters. And the numbering is being changed also?( #3947 was at fish springs when i lived in fish springs) is that true
about the numbering? Iam out of touch here. Gvr
I forgot to ask if you know what douglas county is up to with all these new freqs?
are they going to simulcast on all these freqs? Some are narrowband while some are wideband.
They got licenses for wideband freqs along with narrowband. Some are licensed to be located
at [STN #12 & STN #04] i gather for E.F.F.& P.D. while others are on [pine grove],[topaz hill],
[sheriffs office 8th st] and again [stn #12] also[water tank-upaway rd-glenbrook] i know about the
multiple dead spots, but they are using combos of old and new freqs/tones at all these sites.
Are they phasing out the old (licenses have been renewed)? Are they manualy going to switch
channels as they move around the county? Are these going to be voting recievers even though
there licensed for transmiting? The freqs in question are 151.4525,159.2475.158.7875,155.6550,
155.1300,155.8500, and there is 154.8900 in use but involved in someway 155.6400 has been dropped
155.6250 is being used as input for 154.7400 and 154.8900 using tones 100.0,114.8,136.5 and
167.9 on 155.1300 simplex valley jail. This is just part of it, i just wanted to give a good idea
of whats going on. I am confused on some of the info from the FCC database in reference to
what iam hearing. How about this Why is the new SAR repeater on the same freq as alpine
county road department (156.2250 out 159.0375 in pl 141.3 douglas co) (alpine co rd dept 156.2250
out 159.0000 in pl 127.3) as long as your at ether or repeater no big deal but out in the valley
your going to recieve both east pk and leviathan pk at the same time afirmitive? Ive typed enough
for now so "fyi" on the info here i could have it all wrong time will tell. GVR
