The inexpensive RTL-SDR Blog Multipurpose Dipole Antenna Kit is out-of-stock on Amazon and I'm wondering if there are alternative dipole antennas that would work just as well.
Despite it's low cost, I find the RTL-SDR Blog dipole antenna works remarkably well for my use case and I'd like to buy a few more like it. I've tried multiple other antenna styles and one of them seem to work quite as well. I use the small extendable antennas at their shortest length to pick-up railroad telemetry in the 450 MHz to 460 Mhz range. As such, a "tuned" dipole for UHF would be preferred. The antenna is mounted indoors, so I don't need a weatherproof antenna. I am connecting the antenna to a software defined radio, so a male SMA connector is preferred, but an adapter may be required.
