I posted my logs from El Centro, CA a week ago, when I got my radio. I am back at school in Prescott, AZ, and I've recorded these stations so far in the two nights I've DX'd here.

630 KHOW Denver, CO
660 KTNN Window Rock, AZ
740 KCBS San Francisco, CA
850 KOA Denver, CO
880 KRVN Lexington, NE
1070 KNX Los Angeles, CA
1090...espn radio
1110 KFAB Omaha, NE
1120 KANN Roy, UT
1130 CKWX Vancouver, BC (****1125 miles----my dx record!)
1150 KTLK Los Angeles, CA
1160 KSL Salt Lake City, UT
1170 KFAQ Tulsa, OK
1200 WOAI San Antonio, TX
1210 KHAT Laramie, WY
1210 KGYN Guymon, OK
1230 KXO El Centro, CA (my hometown!)
1520 KOKC Oklahoma City, OK

Last night I clearly picked up CKWX out of Vancouver, BC---that's 1125 miles! Not sure if I'll get anything better than that. Again this is with a Grundig G8 with the whip antenna.

Man, I hate it when this happens...at sunset, a Country station was coming in, completely masking WCBS on 880. I got to listen for just shy of 20 minutes till CBS covered them, and never did get an ID. Ugh.

You c/w station was probably either KRVN (Lexington, NE.) or CKLQ (Brandon, Manitoba) - both are frequent visitors here when I phase-null WCBS on 880.

Anybody DX' ing BCB...here in N Cal. all kinds of low-power Am'ers rollin' in and out here.
For example: KNEU 1250khz Roosevelt UTAH only 130 watts!! Now, that's propagation. Confirmed by telephone with "board op". Also..KRVN Lex Ne was loud in here one hour after sunset.
Lots more..might be a good start. Last few nights slim pickin's around here..We'll see!
Ridgescan. hope you're scannin the ridges with that wire!
( edited ..'nother one heard: KERR 750 khz Polson MT 1KW....many more low-power pending ID

0240 UTC: I have it parked on 1710 tonight, trying to sort out the mess of pirate stations that I'm hearing. I have a gospel preacher coming in loud right now on 1710 with Radio Soleil coming in strong at times underneath. Soleil is from the Boston area, but I've never heard this gospel station before unless is Radio Celestial from NYC?

'Sprocket' that is indeed a great log!! Thanx for sharin' and I've been tryin for some of those, but so many big power stations hereabouts right on those freqs makes it really difficult. Gotta null 'em, but it's gettin' better. Hey..it's cheap intertainment.
Lived in Ohio and Louisiana, so do miss many of those. With a loop you'd be "deadly"!! Let us know
what else you're hearin!!

That's a lot of DX buddy! Like Charlie said-an outside loop or randomwire would definately make you a top MW getter judging by what ya got off the radio inside! Nice logs:)

I had very good audio a few minutes ago on 765 khz. I thought RSR Switzerland was off the air now, but it sure sounds like they are saying "OPTION MUSIQUE" right here:

765 Khz RSR Switzerland 13DE10 0344 UTC.mp3

Whatever was being said was repeating in a loop - note the sweeping tone heard - it was from this same station. Heard between 0330-0400 UTC, 765 khz.

That's pretty good. That BOG is playing well. I may try another EWE pointed at EU, my wires do pretty well but I also need another antenna because my winter goal is to log Greenland on 720 before they go off the air in mid February and with what I've got now, I can't null WGN any lower than S7 or 8. I've heard P.E.I. on 720 before, so I think it's possible.Greenland has been heard here in Wisconsin at least once as far as I know, but that was with some BOGs right on the lake front on private land. *BIG* antennas are the way to go however. 650 might be doable as WSM is quite 'nullable', but then usually WNMT comes through from Minnesota. The only other option for Greenland before they pull the plug is on 3815khz, but I just don't see that happening. I've never heard them before on that freq., I don't think they run enough power. Would have to check their schedule to make sure they run late enough plus the ham QRM would be horrendous. Just two months to log them before they are gone forever, so I gotta try.

Hey? 10 years ago, you bought a book and all the maps were printed out. Now it's on the computer!

Go here: FMLIST - database of worldwide FM radio - Login

Then, click FM MAP ... then "AM" in the middle. Next, click "single frequency" under maps on the right.

From there you can customize your own map.

Super handy.

To post here, I do a screen grab and edit with Irfanview (Irfanview.Com), and upload to Photobucket. To post here use BB code

Ah, so you've been trying for Greenland too. The situation on 720 is the same for me. I have pretty good success phase-nulling stations using a phaser and two BOGs, but I can't knock down WGN's signal far enough to hear anything under it. What's the schedule for the 3815 khz broadcasts? AM or upper sideband? It might be interesting to try for this one unless it's during daylight.

It looks like they run from 1400 to 2215z on USB. 200 watts.

Quite the challenge, but if you've got a GOOD 75 meter antenna, it should be possible on a good day.

Well, it's almost 2210z right now, about 15 mins before my sunset, and I'm not hearing Greenland on 3,815khz. Surprisingly, I am hearing what might be the carrier from the time station HD2IOA, Guayaquil, Ecuador on 3810 kHz, not sure though.

My noise is real bad though (S9). Hopefully an EWE will be quieter. Will keep trying.
