I'd still love to have a handheld scanner that would do am/fm/sw and atleast most of the public service stuff and do it well. If it has to be a bit big and a bit heavy so be it. When the BR330 first came out I thought maybe that would do but from the accounts I've read here and elswhere I don't think so. The a.m. and SW reception so so at best.

You don't mention trunktracking , so maybe you would be interested in an AOR or ICOM product.
If you require TT , then carry two radios , a Uniden TT and one of those others mentioned.

Shortwave requires a l-o-n-g antenna. It's hard to get a 66' Windom on a portable. BTW you need USB and LSB also. Good Luck.
