Hi everyone. I own a BC796D I just got today. I programmed the Downriver Mutual Aid Freq's into a bank. It's a Project 25 Digital...It covers about 19 cities, including myself. I've also got the Detroit PD info in another bank...I put that as a Type I...the thing is...every couple of seconds I hear Detroit...lots of activity...I think I've heard Dearborn 3 times in a couple hours, another city 1 or 2 times in a couple of hours...that's about it. It seems Detroit comes in great...but I'd like my city to come in...am I doing something wrong, or is it really this boring Down River?

Thanks for any help!

All i have is questions for u:

the downriver trs is a very busy system---i listen on a 250d and 296d

1. Did u program into the scanner the control channels?
If not, u will have to use the search option..

2. Do u have it programmed for control channel only? only need the 4 control channels programmed in the bank----remember only 1 trunking system per bank..

3. I am assuming the frequencies are correctly entered.....

Hint: try programming a search bank between 866.0 and 868.9 mhz into the scanner--u should pick up the downriver system with no problems...
the audio quality adjustment can be left a default......u may have to adjust this to pick up the state police frequencies...
