Equipment sustained no damage, but Easley-McPherson had to drive from Amarillo to Hartley County to put the system back online.

The equipment sustained no damage but it went offline? Am I missing something here??

My guess is the dust probably got inside and was sucked into equipment via cooling fans and caused havoc. Maybe things overheated until cleaned out by a tech.

Sounds likely. The storm probably clogged the cooling system and caused the equipment to automatically shut down to prevent overheating. They have a temperature sensor in them that will trigger a shutdown if it senses that the temperature has risen above a certain level.

Its been a few years since I left Texas. Any details on the system? I checked the DB for several areas of the panhandle and the only TRS I see is xcel energy.
