    We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

    If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

New Amateur Radio Technical Net starting in Central Connecticut via Repeater.
The Meriden Amateur Radio Club announces a new Technical Net on Wednesdays at 19:30 (7:30PM) via 2 Meter Repeater.
Frequency is 147.360 (no PL, +600 Hz if using a 2M rig).

Topics will be of a technical nature: Licensing Exam Pool Queries & Answers, Technical Queries from the newly-licensed, and web-submitted queries by those listening via scanner (submit questions via our Contact Us link, here: W1NRG Contact Us.

This is a directed net and all discussion will be of a Technical Nature Only.
