Coastal members, especially those around Corpus Christi and south...

I was wondering if anyone could make a suggestion (preferrably from experience) about 2m repeaters that serve the Padre Island Nat'l Seashore.

On Saturday March 19, 2011, the Big Shell Beach Cleanup volunteers will take to PINS, to assist in removing tons of waste, litter and debris.

I will be around and specifically was hoping that at least one, or more, repeaters in the area would serve PINS. It'd be even better if an HT could hit the repeater, but if anyone could let me know which repeaters serve the beach, I'd appreciate it. I'll be around PINS from 3/18 to 3/20, and I could be anywhere from the Mansfield tip, up to Corpus. Obviously one repeater won't serve the whole island, but any suggestion helps. I've looked at the repeaters on the VHF-FM website, and it looks like there are quite a few to choose from.

If you're gonna be helping with the cleanup also, pm me, and we can setup a simplex frequency or something...

On a side note, I can be messaged privately with any fishing tips you might have for bull reds...

Looks like you will be closer to CC than anywhere! I made the whole run south to north thru PINS last year, and found very little two meter activity. I could hit repeaters, albeit with my mobile rig, but no one was home. I really miss the old days of two meter repeater activity.
