I have a general question.. The Amazon warehouse by the Hamilton Airport did have a few frequencies licensed to them up to just recently. I have gone up there a few times to scan but have never heard anything on these frequencies. They where licensed to Bearcom on Aeropark Rd in Hamilton but now are no longer listed.

I have noticed too that in the past for Amazon's Warehouse around Steeles/Winston Churchill. Years ago they did have a few frequencies licensed and I would heard nothing while in the area but like the one here the frequencies are no longer listed. Does anyone have any idea if they use radios for any of their operations?

451.0375, 452.3125, 462.1625 & 463.9125 where the frequencies licensed to them here and they where licensed for DMR emissions.

Watching this thread as I have two Amazon owned facilities near my home.

DTO3 parking lot is where I discovered the Belfield control channel for LMRN for site 6-148. Did a general Close Call search while there for Amazon, but never any hits.

I suggest looking up some of the USA Amazon warehouses. I have heard that sometimes Amazon uses the same freq. sets in numerous warehouses. Its possible they duplicated one of the USA systems and hardware. Since its a inhouse system you may have to be sitting in their parking lot to hear it. We must remember that many businesses are as radio savvy as the average person. They plug and play the hardware with no concept of licensing or international borders.

Another thought occurs. Many if not all the Quebec warehouses have reported to have been closed. Perhaps their frequency sets may give clues to the Ontario warehouses.

The new Amazon facility outside of St Thomas ('YXU 1') had licensed frequencies for:
451.6375
454.0750
454.4625
463.6875

I've done a few quick searches from a nearby parking lot and I've never picked up a thing, however I've been told from some US radio installer friends that the systems are setup to maximize signal within the building, so there isn't a lot of propagation outside of it. I'll take a closer look one of these days when I have a little time.

The 77 Belfield building for Amazon (behind the Bell offices) is totally fabricated of steel. Nothing penetrating those walls.

I can count out 454.4625 in the Toronto area as that is one of the voice on BearCom's NexEdge 96 trunk system at the CN Tower.
