Amber Alert heard on TG 6416 on Safe-T

FYI - I just heard an Amber Alert being broadcasted on TG 6416 (INDOT Hoosier Helpers on I-465). I'm assuming that Amber Alert's are broadcasted across all puclic safety agency frequencies throughout the U.S. It must have just been a matter of timing to hear the brodcast on TG 6416.

Yeah, Johnson County Sheriff did a broadcast today too. TG 8000. I'm pretty sure that the reporting agency sends a message to everyone via the IDACS terminals, and then the dispatchers announce it when they get a chance.

Expect more/improved broadcasts

Our dispatchers are training to provide better/clearer broadcasts (wish it wasn't needed). A side note: Hoosier Helper dispatchers, unlike Hoosier Helpers themselves, are not INDOT employees. They are private contracted.
Question: Do any of you scan our freq. or ISP Indianapolis often?

If you are talking about the TMC and ISP talkgroups on the SAFE-T system, yes, all the time.
