FYI folks. In the case of the Canton site, the new P25 site uses a completely different license with completely separate frequencies. However, all of the neighbors of Canton (which aren't online) use additional frequencies that were added to the existing licenses that serve the active EDACS sites.

The moral of the story is -- don't think that an EDACS site is simply going to magically switch to P25 one day. Instead, it appears they are building out the P25 sites alongside the EDACS and using a minimum of frequencies to accomplish that and test sites -- whilst leaving their EDACS counterparts fully entact during that period. And don't expect to see brand new licenses. Take a look at existing licenses for an EDACS site -- and likely one or more of those frequencies is not in use on the EDACS site and will be used instead to deploy the P25 site side by side.

So it's just best to scan 850-861 mhz occasionally, checking to see if you find a new P25 site with a WACN of 92715. The SysID will be different depending upon the territory you are in. I mean seriously, how long does it take to put a digital scanner into search mode and scan 850-861, stopping on any P25 site, checking its WACN and logging the details if ya find a new one? It takes me longer to use the can than it does to do the scan -- so take your scanner to the can with you :)

A current neighbor list from the Mt Sterling or suspected Bellefontaine site would be nice. I realize that if you caught that with your scanner, you may not have what is needed to find the site neighbor info. Hopefully somebody will attempt to though.

How far is Bellefontaine, Etna, Johnstown, Bloomfield and Cambridge from you? That looks like the only logical locations anywhere near central Ohio. You're probably right on Bellefontaine. Neighbor lists from Site 2 and Mt Sterling (neighbors and associated control channels) would certainly help though.

No edacs control channel is active, and all those other cities are far away from shelby county. So it has to be ''bellefontaine''.

I've added it, but it would really be nice if somebody within earshot of it would run a P25 trunking program on the CC and get all of the active frequencies / alternate CCs, site neighbors, and site neighbor frequencies.

It was never stated that it was monitored from within Shelby Co. That's useful information.
