Things are looking real good up in your neck of the woods now. Probably all you can do at this point is snatch updated neighbor lists for any sites you copy so that we can see if there are any new neighbors or if any unknown neighbor CC frequencies have changed.

Great job! I suspect 19.19 is Talihina and that 28 is McAlester. Although 19.19 could conceivably be Idabel, even though it is significantly farther south. Too bad the CC on 19 hasn't changed since it was last reported as a peer of a site.

Yeah, likely Talihina. I was able to lock on to the CC for 19.19 off and on for a few miles on my SDS200 while driving down I40. Signal was very weak, around -110 and less RSSI. However, I couldn't receive it with DSD with the antenna I have connected to it.

I think that means the site numbers and other info in the wiki for sites 09 and 27 might be backwards but I have yet to decode those and figure it out. Before Unitrunker logged 09-09 854.7125 but that is licensed to the same site as 27-27 855.1375.

Extension request filed for completion of Texas portion

Bullet points:

• Multi-year project upgrading EDACS 800 MHz system across 11 states to P25
• Due to immensity of project, AEP is proceeding with the projeect by region
• Bulk of Ohio is completed
• Current focus on finishing up Oklahoma (within the original authorized 12-month period)
• Texas will come next after Oklahoma

- more than 12 months will be required to complete Texas (thus filing for extension)
- will cut over by subregions within Texas
- cutover for each region will have to be done all at once (each subregion switches all sites to P25 at same time)
- 44 of 82 sites will require move to new location
- 14 of the 82 sites will be new sites
- Texas fully designed and funded
- see document for chart of two Texas subregions to come online by April 2021
- remember subregions will be cutover all at once (TCC2 and TNC3)

Obviously that extension I referenced in my previous post did not make any of WV (which has a significant amount of sites built out), Indiana / MI (pretty much built out), or the fact that there is a site online in VA. So they are obviously still doing things in other states, even though there is a "focus" on completing OK and starting on TX. So they very well could have sites online in other states despite the limited scope of discussion in the extension.

That's a good question. I see a lot of FCC construction notification updates for MG / YO stuff, or at least have fairrly recently, for the Texas area. Not knowing Texas, I mostly ignored them -- but those various updates would probably lend some idea as to where the vast majority of TX work is taking place currently.

As for Snyder, do keep in mind that they have a pending application adding additional frequencies to that license. So you might not find Snyder P25 on any existing Snyder freqs.

Yeah I know. I search the whole 851-861 band (among other things) usually every day.

Also it should show as a new neighbor on the surrounding sites and so far I haven't seen that.

Just between January 2020 and December 2020, there have been a signficant number of FCC notifications submitted by AEP for various areas, trunkekd and microwave licenses, in various states. None of these necessarily indicate that a site is fully online (especially MG licenses).

I separated out the MG (microwave) from the YO/YJ (trunked) licenses. I mainly included the MG (microwave) licenses to show that there has obviously been some activity (meaning work done) at various sites in various states even if they may not be online yet. Each category is in order though from January 2020 (top) to December 2020 (bottom). I left out Ohio stuff, and microwave in IN OH WV since I was primarily focusing on TX/OK.

And under the YO/YJ trunked licenses below, I specify online if they hae been personally confirmed AND if they are showing up as connected site peers but have not been directly confirmed by monitoring. I might have missed a few.

Point is, It's a good bet that a LOT of those YJ/YO licenses shown below are online, despite nobody ever having reported it.

You're welcome. It is not listing any other peers at this time. I've been checking the 850MHz band for quite some time and so far this is the only AEP P25 site I've heard down this way. I'll keep my ears open and post whenever more pop up.
