I'll say that over here in my neck of the woods some service trucks in Steubenville and New Philadelphia have new radios and are using the P25 sites that are online. Of course their radios (I am pretty sure) can pretty easily switch between the P25 and EDACS systems. No idea if there is anything more than random testing going on in Columbus. Who better to sleuth Columbus area systems than those that live in the Columbus area?

Yes, as Mike stated ,Steubenville AEP has added new radios for some trucks and you will hear traffic withe service trucks throughout the day.

This isn't because anything you failed to do, Rakkfo, but we won't be able to go by the neighbor list to determine if a site that was not heard directly changed from 1F6 to 002. For all sites that you monitored directly, you were able to confirm the change from 1F6 to 002. Unfortunately, it seems that on every site (all the ones around me and you), they are still advertising 1F6 in the neighor list for sites that are actually 002 sites.

What this means is that even though it is likely that more of the existing sites out that way have changed to 002, we will not be able to change them in the DB until somebody confirms a change to those sites by direct monitoring.

Here in East Ohio, half the sites I hear switched to 002, and the other half are still 1F6.

Great updates! You found a new one by direct monitoring -- Johnstown. And it looks like a handful more (based upon showing in neighbor lists -- even though we cant confirm them online yet) - I will add those new ones that aren't in teh DB but show up on neighbor lists to the wiki page.

I am aware and I can appreciate you not updating data on an educated guess. I will see if I can the setup in the car again and drive around. Any ideas on the location of sites 3, 5 and 9?

Indeed. I think I updated two or three control channels. I forget how many. And 5 neighbor lists. And changed 1F6 to 002 on all the stuff you heard directly.

Bellefontaine CC has changed to 855.8875 (not updated in DB yet)

Mt Sterling CC has changed to 856.1875 (not updated in DB yet)

What I will do is change those three CCs, and then I'll make sure the old CCs remain as ACs. So as long as somebody programs in CCs and ACs, they are good.

Interestingly, Zanesville used to list Newark as a neighbor but isn't at the moment. Is there any chance the signal may have been weak and you weren't able to collect all of the neighbors? Could you try monitoring it again with Proscan and let it sit on the control channel for 5-10 minutes and then see if the neighbor list has changed at all?

I can see data on 854.1625 but I am not able to decode. Just north of I-70 is a ridge that degrades signals out of Fairfield Co. I suspect that is Lancaster and I will confirm tomorrow.

Please feel free to remove but this data may be usefull for someone. I think DSD has a scan feature but I dont know how to use it at this time. I use this list for my R30 programing since it does P25 and analog. I am getting some hits on analog but I have not had time to listen back and see if they are AEP traffic. I am getting some MARCS data also.

We do need for somebody in Bellefontaine, Mt Sterling and Chillicothe to find/park on the control channel of those sites and see what the system ID shows. That'll be out of range for myself (and Rakkfo).

Actually, on Site 9.9 - Plymouth and Greenwich are 15 mi apart in Richland Co. Both site licenses have 861.0625 listed. So it's hit or miss at this point which one it is. But at least we know it's one of those two.

81.81 could be:

Zaleski (Vinton) - WPCQ250 - being that 81.81 is a neighbor of Lancaster, this is my bet

Columbus Grove (Putnam) - WQEN429 -- ruled out because this would not be a neighbor of Lancaster
Calcutta (Columbiana) - WPLZ771 -- ruled out because this would not be a neighbor of Lancaster
Shadyside (Belmont) - WPCQ244 -- I'm convinced this would NOT be 81.81, but I guess it could be
-- if Shadyside were 81.81, then site 34.34 (not confirmed online) would not be Shadyside but instead Gallipolis

I'm leaning towards 81.81 being Zaleski.
