@phask is there a way you can check Dresden or Cambridge AEP towers and see if they have Coshocton onl;ine ? Heard techs talking that it is online

Here is Dreden - shows several new neighbors.
After importing from RR - it looks like 31 31 is the only one not in RR

I'm seing a 37 37 as neigbor to Mt Perry also

Both 37 37 an 31 31 are neighbors to Zanesville

I like how the RRDB fudges things up for that site -- wheeling bethelem (1F7-32.32) when it should be showing it as Dresden or whatever 1F6-32.32 is. Yes, you figured out all of the others.

Still a bit of testing on the site here at the Leanard site.

I'd say. I see quite a few P25 subscriber radio IDs, not just "external" patches. that's nice. The subscriber radio audio sounds much nicer than those damned patches, as we had discussed before.

There really should be more sites lit up down that way. Even though Leonard doesn't list any neighbors, don't rule out that some other site around there is online. St Clairsville (up here i the Ohio Valley) existed for the longest time, very much used, with no site neighbors listed and other p25 sites on around it. Eventually, one day it was spitting out neighbors.

Just an updtate for the ones that live down by Stockport,Ohio It sounds like they have fired up Stockport and should be a peer of Macksburg and Marietta West so if anyone has access to DSD+,Unitrunker or PRO96COM please check and see if you can get some info for Stockport.

One of these should be the Control Channel

854.9125
855.6625
856.2875
859.5625
860.8125

Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you or anyone else ever takes a look at my Google Map, note the black dots in TX/OK. Those are either new site licenses or licenses with updated site locations / added frequencies. If one would go by what was seen as Ohio was being built out, The FCC license modifications and such were very suggestive of what sitess might be coming online. Sure, many sites had no changes at the FCC (other than emissions perhaps). But, I know that in Ohio they seemed to go after sites that were recently updated at the FCC first, for the most part.

So, even if there aren't sites online yet, I would expect them to be sporadically popping up pretty soon, especially in those areas of OK/TX where you see black dots.

WX5UIF has seen two sites in his area come online -- one has been online for a long long time (Leonard). Neither of those sites broadcasts neighbors currently, but nonetheless they are lit. So if you do come upon a site but it has no neighbors, people should still scan all of 854-862 mhz for any other potential online sites. in the area.

I have no way of knowing who are the usual sleuthers in OK or TX (other than WX5UIF). But my suggestion is that if anyone knows those kinds of people in OK/TX (who use things like Pro96Com / Unitrunker / DSDPlus and can check for new sites), you might want to put them on alert and give them a link to the map. Without letting people know about this thread in the MultiState forum, there are a lot of potential sleuthers out there who likely aren't even aware to be on the lookout.

Ok. but keep in mind they don't just put up a P25 site and immediately terminate all EDACS. The put up a P25 sites using unused frequencies on the existence license, or recently added frequencies to an existing license, or frequencies from a brand new license. In many cases, at least in Ohio, the new sites that came online to replace old ones were at completely different locations -- especially in cases where they were renting space from another tower provider and instead decided to build a new one of their own.

So, only checking existing EDACS site/channels accomplishes nothing, since the likelihood of any of those frequencies being used upon initial deployment is slim to none. Like I said, at least here in Ohio, they didn't immediate shut down EDACS -- and when they brought a P25 site online it used frequencies that weren't part of the existing EDACS sites. Frequencies from existing EDACS sites were only put into use (if they were put into use) as P25 channels after the EDACS sites were completely decommissioned. For the vast part of the buildout in Ohio, the EDACS sites ran simultaneously alongside the P25 sites. Up in my area there were P25 / EDACS combined sites for over a year and a hafl before they started shutting off the EDACS channels. I remember a site being turned up recently in central OHio where the techs specifically stated that it was running in hybrid mode with x # of P25 channels and x # of EDACS channels.

So for anyone who only looks at existing EDACS frequencies in the RRDB for a particular site, there is a good chance they would never know that a P25 site was online until the EDACS channels were all turned down and there scanners stopped picking up anything.

Keep an eye out though. If nothing has changed yet in your area, they are progressing.

So I took your advice and did a scan of the 800MHZ band around my area. Nothing new showed up.
I'll keep an eye out and see what if anything comes up.

Thank you. Sounds good.

Map of all AEP sites in their 11-state coverage area. I try to be diligent about keeping it up to date. black dots are sites with new / updated FCC licenses. You can disable the viewing of all states but the one you care about buy unchecking the box on the left for the other states.

Eventually I will have the full licensed list of frequencies for each site, but I don't right now. The ccallsigns are there though.

Pulled out my SDR dongle this morning to start working on this and found that my antenna was busted. I'm gonna have to work on it some before I can get some info on Belpre, Marietta, and Reedsville.

We already have all we need on Reedsville and Belpre and Marietta West. But, at some point if you do get it fixed it still would be nice to know the latest peers/site neighobrs listed on Belpre / Marietta / Reedsville.

Thanks

Just a heads up if anyone is looking for a site on the Old EDACS sytem and it is not there try looking in the wiki cause Obviously they are not allowed to take a site that is no longer on and take it out of the Database due to who the hell knows the reason
