American Medical Response in Palm Beach and Broward Counties

I know that sinse the storms AMR in Palm Beach and Broward Counties has gone to a better radio system (Possibly trunked) Does anyone have any information on this new system. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

How do you know they're going to switch? I'm still hearing traffic on the Broward County dispatch frequency of 471.1625.

AMR uses TAC12A on the Palm Beach County system to Stat, but not for their "internal communications".

Yes AMR does use TAC 12A to respond with PBCFR, but their internal dispatch has moved to a new system. Anyone with info, please post. They have been on this new system since the hurricanes. Thanks

I read on the Southeast Florida Yahoo scanner group that it was a Motorola business SMR, possibly in the 900 MHz range, since there's probably few, if any, 800 MHz systems left that aren't Nextel. Other than them using a private SMR, there were no other details given.

I have heard that before, but so far, nobody has been able to provide any details as to what 800 MHz frequencies are used, or if it's trunked, conventional, or what.

I do know that in the UHF band, they had a Palm Beach north and Palm Beach south frequencies, but of course that's not 800 MHz.

AMR

AMR is dispatched on their UHF 464.850 channel which may be two sites or just from the 20 Mile bend site in west Central Palm Beach Co.
They are then switched to the 813a Palm Beach Co. system. They can talk directly to the fire dispatcher. They also carry Nextels at least the ones I have dealt with.

AMR in palm beach and broward counties

Hello everyone AMR is still using 400MHz for company dispatch. AMR Palm Beach is using 800MHz radios to communicate with fire rescue and hospitals. However AMR is now looking into a 400MHz trunking system so there maybe some changes here in the near future. Hope this helps those of you looking.
