One of our fire departments here forgot and let their FCC license expire so they had to get a new one, With that came a frequency change...From 154.340 PL 100.0 to 156.225 PL 100.0 However, I'm hearing someone else with the EXACT same frequency and Exact PL Tone apparently. I couldn't figure out who it was. There's That frequency listed in West Plains Missouri and Memphis To Tennessee Highway Patrol but it's neither of those apparently. It seems To Be Amery or pehaps Avery, But I heard them paged today Amery/Avery EMS, Amery/Avery Medstat, Respond to 1113 111th Street, 6 month old not breathing. Does anyone know where this may be out of? It seems to be a strong signal, I can hear it on my handheld and so can they, I was just trying to see if it was actually skip or if it was close enough we're going to hear it all the time, Any ideas anyone?

The reason it's so strong is because it's being repeated by your local repeater. A database check of the 'input' frequency for the Greene County repeater (154.770 MHz 100.0 PL) shows both the frequency & tone is in use by Monroe County, Mississippi for a repeater output. There is a city named Amory in Monroe County & the address you give is valid in Amory, MS, confirming your reception report.

Holy Cow! It's not just now and then either, It's ALL THE TIME.. I can't believe it's making it this far during the day for sure but it is, We hear it ALL THE TIME and Clear too! I figure they'll be changing their input here soon then, Or at least I hope so anyways, It's gets old hearing something that can't be understood, And I know their hearing it if I am, on their radio's and pagers, lol Thanks For The Help!!!!

I can't believe this! Our radio's and pagers are getting the signal off our repeater here but it's OVER 190 MILES AWAY To the Southeast! Our Repeater tower is only 85 Feet! I can't believe it picks it up! They must be putting out one HECK OF A SIGNAL IN MISSISSIPPI DOWN THERE!
