My next trip to that area ill see what all i can pick up, i noticed this past week I didnt pick up on any Amherst traffic, but all of lynchburgh fire/ems/police. In Rockbridge County, the signal doesnt make it over the mountain.

so far my scanner isn't missing a thing, I heard 1 frequency was changing for amherst. All radio traffic is complete and i-calls are fine. Maybe the changes won't affect reception?

I will also be in the Amherst and Lynchburg area later today and i will see if i can pick up anything. I was there last weekend and on the way back home on Sunday night i heard Amherst ok but the radio traffic was very lite. Not much going on. I wont have access to a computer so my next report will be sometime Monday the 15th.

Good news, i was luckly to be able to gain access to a computer early with an update for Amherst site 1. I found a new freq. which is 857.5375 at LCN 5 which currently is the CC and i'm able to track coms. I have no info for site 2 at this time. Lynchburg and Bedford appear to be ok with no changes noted at this time. If anything else changes i will let you all know.

p.s. I will submit this to be added to the database

Correct briggs, the original 860 .9875 is in reband territory and they replaced it with 857.5375. The previous four frequencies are ok for Amherst site 001. Make sure the channel # coincides with your above structure, ie channel 01 through 05 rather then 00 through 04.

The Pro-97 wont trunk track I-Call. However, you can program all freqs in a separate bank in FM mode, lockout the CC and hear all transmissions. When an I-Call is used, it should stay on the same frequency which it started with, thus you can HOLD on the frequency throughout the coms.

This method may be more irritating then useful due to all coms will be used (non-trunked) waiting for the rare I-Call transmission.
