Does anyone know if there is a real difference between the standard adaptors and the X series besides the price. I can buy the adaptor I need for about $5.00 but the X series is $62.00. I need a low loss adaptor and I dont mind spending the money on it if there is a real difference. I just have a feeling there is something wrong there.

The more expensive is the military version. For every day use, the standard version will work fine.

Basically, yes. There is a slight difference between the two series, but it would be difficult to tell the difference in every day use. It's almost like the difference in their MS series connectors Vs the 97 series.

To be honest, I have had some really good luck with AIM connectors. They are very inexpensive and of good quality. I know you can get them at Allied Electronics (www.alliedelec.com) for a fairly good price.
