For those of you that don't know AMR ambulance company is officaly out of buisness in new orleans and slidell on 12-14-04 at midnight. There frequency is also out of service.

They struck a deal with Acadian. AMR moved out of Louisiana and Acadian is moving out of Mississippi.

Do you have a list of AMR freq's. Just moved to Montana, and like to see if there freqs are national.

AMR operates on any and all MED freqs both VHF, and UHF, as well as operates thier own business freqs which are liscensed vias FCC just like any business..... ONLY the MED/HEARN stuff is the same nationwide.

AMR also has agreements with local EOC/EMA's, FD's, VFD's etc,.. to act on mutual aid/FG/Tac freqs etc.

AMR is still in Ouachita Parish, and have no plans for leaving

The Acadian/AMR deal only applies to the following-
New Orleans Greater Metro Area- AMR has abandoned ALL ops there.
In exchange, Acadian has moved from Rankin County, Mississippi.

Future agreements-
Acadian will abandon ops in Jackson County, Mississippi in exchange for another AMR pullout in Louisianna.

These currently are the only 2 changeovers currently.....


As far as freqs-
AMR in MS-
Jackson Control- 155.4000
Natchez Control- 155.3250
Fayette Tower- 155.3550
Vicksburg Control-155.2350/155.4000
Rankin County Ops use the Rankin TRS, and Jackson Control.
AMR interops with Hinds County on 155.9850, with a few of the units now also on the HCEOC Fireground TG's.
