Mostly with high 10.7cm flux above 150 sfu gray line propagation is enhanced allowing propagation to travel over night time side of Earth. This is common during an active solar cycle. Normally 20m would be dead at 1am local time. Gray line is the dawn/dusk terminator separating night/day. Very good for radio DX'ing from 20m to 10m.

Most of what we hear in my recording is from somewhere in Europe

Shortwave Broadcast is affected more because of the higher wattage.

A repeat of the previous posting. Tonight around 0800utc 3am cdt local time -5 GMT.

This Time RTL-SDR Blog v4 w/MLA 30+ 20m Europe-Australia as Received in Oklahoma City

On a side note I kinda feel bad the ham from Spain was hearing the Australia station throwing out his call in the usual way but no get back from the ham in Australia.

Also I can't help but notice with my god given ears how much thinner HDSDR sounds with an RTL-SDR.
