AN EXCERCISE AT 01:30 A.M. ON A FED FREQ.!!! ( who are you)?

Early this morning, i was searching the Fed band: 406.0000 to 415.0000
range, and heard and excercise at 01:30 a.m., which was intiated by
"SECURITY 1"

406.1625-"excercise"
" foot patrol"
" security 1"
-they are using the alpa system as tango vs. tom
bravo vs. baker

ALSO HEARD TRAFFIC ON:

407.9625
407.1625


(If i am correct I CAN HEAR this freq's., both in MWC, And around West Okc., near the Airport.

while i am not familiar with the OK trs'es, i don't expect the military to remain "open" for too long on that TRS.

down here in my area, they went from VHF conventional, to VHF conventional with (what sounds like) DES encryption, to a UHF trunked system, to APCO25 UHF trunked with digital encryption on MP and Security Forces talkgroups.

cool to find them in the open once in awhile though...

I believe this is Tinker AFB

Hey Layman, I heard this system while riding around with Okla in MWC. I'm pretty sure it is Tinker Air Force Base, especially with the miltary-style IDs and stuff. That night, around 9 pm, they were doing another "exercise." It seems to be in conventional mode. It's gotta be Tinker AFB. Maybe try putting the other Tinker freqs in and see if there is coordination between them. -- Gilligan
