Analogue vs digital in nova scotia

what are the frequencies mainly in nova scotia are they all analogue or a mixture of both for example police are they digital and if not will they be going digital anytime soon need help in deciding in buying a analogue or digital scanner

If you are going to be buying a scanner you need to take into account the new Trunked Mobile Radio System that will be operational around 2014. It will be completely P25 Digital and 700 mhz so make sure your scanner will do that

Today you will need a digital trunk tracking scanner to hear RCMP. You will be able to hear EHS, Fire, local police etc with a regular 800 Mhz trunk tracker but I strongly suggest that you spend the extra money now and get something that will work in a few years...
