Good evening all,

Some time ago (in 2008, i think), I read that ANB traffic from one region's freq is being simulcast on another region's freq. For exemple, crews in Moncton could hear calls from Miramichi. This was problematic and was supposed to change. My question is : is traffic still being simulcast between regions in the province? If so, what regions is simulcast with what regions? I have taken a look at this image http://www.marscan.com/nbambulanceradiomap.jpg however it's VERRY hard to make out the writting.

I'm moving from Ontario to Moncton and this setup confuses me a lot. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Merci beaucoup!

Some have PL Tone others don't.

Yes everything is still simulcast. I dont know the geography exactly but there are 4 regions (East, West, North, South) and all repeaters in each region are simulcast with each other. I was in Moncton the other day and heard Mirimichi calls for ANB no problem. This will not change until a new radio system is implemented

Does ANB dispatches their call in plain english or they use some sort of dispatch protocol like ProQA or AMPDS (like 6 delta 2 = problem breathing - not alert)?

It's not often I listen to ambulance, because it's so full of region wide chatter that I don't really care about, but I thought it was plain english over the air?
