For years the police here have been pushing for a move to "secure comms", which happened in 2024. Now, it seems they can't even control their own staff and what they are accessing....

Corruption often involves the technology a person has access to. Glad they have separate accounts and attempt to hold people accountable. I never like to see police corruption, especially when they are working in a position of public trust.

My local police tend to get in trouble for using their devices to surf porn sites, also spy on their spouses, or make some sort of insider business deals.

Scanners can help keep these entities honest, when they are held accountable for their lack of professionalism.
