Does anyone know when the Anderson police and fire are getting their new radio system? What kind of system will it be? An APD officer told me this spring that they were replacing the current system in late summer or early fall. Thanks

New Info - found out this weekend that Anderson's EF Johnson LTR Multi-Net System will be replaced by the end of the year. It will not be a "trunked" system. They are going back to 453.???? frequencies. Wait and see what happens. Comments?

Found new license granted to city of Anderson in the FCC data base. On 10/5/06 FCC granted WQFU392 458.12500 and 458.35000. Be listening for activity.

raising the dead.... a 4 year ld thread.... lol Ummm, maybe you should check out the old systems for some of what you are looking for. Govt services still uses the system and the PD still has many of their radios......
Some of their training has been done right on the main system the PD uses now as well
