VA3QRM,

The First Nations Police are typically found on the Fleetnet System, under the Local OPP Talk Group for the area. Although they have full access to OPP Comm Centre and the Fleetnet System, they seem to use cellphones between the few officers and fleetnet only when the need arises.

IIRC, the first nations constables book on through the local comm centre and will be requested on the local talkgroup for incidents in their area which are called in to the OPP.

Hope this helps.

The Anishnabek Police / Saugeen First Nation police doesn't exist anymore since last year. The police station also sits unused. At this point, the entire area has been taken over by OPP staffing as they didn't hire the police force back on. By law, if there is no police force, OPP must enforce the area.

They seem to be doing a much better job. No more using the police force for taxi's back to the reserve, and actually arresting people.

I don't have a digital scanner yet, as I'm waiting to see what Saugeen Shores switches to as they are moving soon to a new system which may render apco25 digital useless anyways.

At the moment though they are OPP enforced and lots of OPP around this area to listen to if you have a digital scanner.
