Yes........that is where Ankeny traffic will be heard.
I don't get over that way enough to listen but here are the talk groups on the system for Ankeny
DEC AFS Mode Alpha Tag Description Tag
1845 14-065 A Ankeny Law 1 Police: Dispatch (Patched to 460.275) Law Dispatch
1948 15-034 A Ankeny Law 3 Police: Car to Car Law Talk

I have no idea what their radio numbers / call numbers are anymore.............but if you listen you will hear then

As of now they are still simulcasting on the VHF frequencies

Hi guys I picked up a Uniden BCD 396xt and am having a hell of a time getting it working. If i wanted to just manually input ankenys frequencies without programming scanner what should I try entering? Also if anyone owns this scanner and has some pointers for me it would be much appreciated.

I believe Ankeny Police and Fire are on the RACOM system now.

I will 3rd that motion.

If all you care about is Ankeny PD you will want the following:
1892 - Polk Law 2 (Ankeny and Johnston dispatch)
1948 - Ankeny Law 3
1889 - Fire Page (all of Polk county)
1841 - Fire Response

You will want to program the nearest tower to you, there is one on the west side of Ankeny by John Deere, the rest of the city is best served by the downtown Des Moines site.
