Annoying "Click" at end of transmission

I have my SDS200 setup as follows:

Scanner > Group Loop Filter > Sound Card and then a pair of cheap speakers for the output from the sound card.

There is this annoying click (Video Example) at the end of each transmission that gets broadcasted onto the feed, but does not appear on the recorder of ProScan.

Any ideas on what the cause could be and how to resolve? It happens any every audo level.

Real annoying.

Not an SDS200 owner, but I've heard similar sounds on devices where there might be a slight issue with the audio output amp turning off. There was a separate thread here from several years ago on an SDS200, but it doesn't sound exactly the same to me.

If you plug in a good set of headphones into the audio out on the SDS200, do you still hear it?

Just plugged a pair of Sennheisers directly to the headset out and it is still there. Tried the one setting from that old thread, same results. Looks like I will contact Bearcat Warehouse.

Thanks for the reply!

If you google SDS200 pop, you can find quite a few threads on this.

My SDS200 pops just like yours, I also have SDS100 which has much faint pop, way much less annoying.
There are some posts proposing solutions such as tweaking close timing, ground check, add isolation filter (which really address buzz and hum, irrelevant), none of them works as they address other issue (Hum Buzz), not pop issue.

Even you dial the volume to zero, you can still (only) hear the closing pop (again we are not talking about buzz).

The only solution, I do is streaming the audio via the network with RTSP protocol (VLC player or Bob's free scanner LAN player, or perhaps proscan can do this) VLC player also has glitch-prone APP to do this on your phone/tablet, -- even with this over the network approach I have to plug a dummy cable into headphone jacket to silence the pop from speaker (as mentioned in the last paragraph).

I used to get a pop when using my ipod with my stereo. The solution was an isolation transformer between the ipod and the stereo pre amplifier. The pop is a DC transient passing from the radios BTL amplifier .

For the price of those SDS scanners, there should not be any pops, noise, display issues, etc.

is there a pattern ?
i get a little click on the SDS100, and the 325P2 and the 396XT and the 396T/
years ago i figured out it was some of the units and not central.
and it seemed to be when they were on HHs.
it happened on their 800 analog and the new 700 P25.
and it is a very slight click, the wife does not hear it.

Hey bud., finally got around to getting hardwired in my office, plugging in the network cable to the SDS200 and playing audio via the network jack using ProScan worked flawless. Thanks for the idea and response 5 months ago!
