Anoka County addition to Twin Cities System

Anoka Region changes to include the Anoka county 800 infrastructure
Adds new sites in Fridley,Blaine,Ham Lake, Carlos Avery and Ramsey to the original Stacy, Bethel, Lino Lakes and Anoka ( Anoka state site moves from the Burschville (Hennepin north) subsystem)
Total of 9 sites in Anoka/State sub-system

12 frequency system (5 from original state system, 7 Anoka additional) (inputs are 45 Mhz lower)

I have been monitoring the VHF net, and have yet to jump up to the 800 MHz net, but am preparing to do so. Am very disappointed that the new Pro-96 does not monitor the Minnesota Troopers on their digital system. Anyone in Minnesota having any luck with that, or can elaborate on the subject?

Anoka County now on 800 Mhz

Anoka county is in the burn in phase of switching to the 800 Metro system. The currently are cross patched between the vhf and 800 channels. If all goes well on the 30 day burn in the complete switch will tke place and the patches will most likely come down at that time. Fire departments will continue to be paged on 154.2800 including SBM fire who will no longer be on a separate dispatch channel from the rest of the county- no more 154.1600.

I live in the Twin Cities, and Metro SP (both East & West) has been on the Apco-25 digital system for about 2 1/2 yrs. Both the Pro-96 & BC 296d recieve the Metro TG's just fine.

As for out-state, my assumption is that they are still operating on their original Analog freq's until the area in which they're dispatched goes to the "statewide" digital system.

I'm sure listeners to the south of the Twin Cities (like Olmstead Co.) may be able to attest to this shortly.

If you have a Pro-96 not picking up MSP, you'd better check the CC you have programmed, make sure what you're trying to hear is available where you are, or return the Pro-96 to whence it came (don't forget, if you have a 96 w/o the firmware upgrade, you'll need that done too)

back a year ago when he posted, the pro 96 didnt monitor the new system it has since been upgraded to do so, and transformed into the new pro96 we know today
