AURORA - Police say an officer was involved in a shooting Saturday morning and one person was injured.
Aurora Police Spokeswoman Det. Shannon Youngquist-Lucy says the shooting occurred in the 3900 block of S. Pitkin Way, near Pagosa Way, just after 9 a.m.
According to Youngquist-Lucy, the officer involved was not shot, but a suspect has been taken to a nearby hospital. His condition was not immediately known.

The shooting was the second officer-involved shooting in Aurora this month. On Dec. 2, 18-year-old Brandon Winn was fatally shot by an officer in a neighborhood near Olympic Park. Denver Police had a warrant for Winn's arrest. They say he robbed an Xbox 360 from a friend's friend at gunpoint. He was shot by Aurora Police after they say he pointed a gun at them.
