Boy, for everyone talking about inter-operatability this doesn't seem to be the way to go! I go to Orange Beach a few times a year, and now here's another system that won't be able to be monitored! Bummer!

Nothing wrong with Nexedge. It's a great system. Several other departments in the county are on it with more to come. Once they are all networked, it will allow full interop. The VHF patches are still in place for interop on this system.

Not a surprise. It's pretty sad that so many systems in Alabama are becoming unmonitorable. Everyone wants to get bigger and better radio systems which usually screws scanner users in the end.
