I could've sworn there was a MARCS sticky but I couldn't seem to find it....

Anyway I have recently (a few weeks) been hearing a good bit of ENC. traffic on TG 49920 coming off the bridgeport site..... however today, one side of the transmission was in the clear for a second and then it all scrambled up again... This is what I heard...: "post 71 to L-140 go ahead" ..... That was it- everything after that was ENC....

Now considering that Ross county is pretty far from bridgeport I wonder what L-140 could be and why it's been hitting the BPT twr.

It could be something on the order of a Lieutenant unit or something like that. I don't know for sure, as I'm not from that area. :p

This is some sort of interagency talkgroup. When using Trunker or Unitrunker I've noticed radio IDs of multiple agencies including OSP on it; yesterday during the OSU-Michigan spectacular I heard what may have been an OIU unit talking to another unit I could not identify. Other times yesterday I heard Jackson talking to an encrypted unit about someone with a warrant out of Franklin County.

In the past I've also heard liquor and other units lurking around Stringtown Road in Grove City...

Unfortunately because much of the traffic is usually encrypted it's been tough to pin down a specific use.

I've seen multiple radios from DRC, ODNR, OSP, etc... affiliate with this talkgroup which is actually 49904.

Nobody seems to know what this talkgroup is used for.

No, we're talking about 49920, which I've also seen multiple units affiliate with...

Maybe there's one TG for each 'Zone' in the system?
Maybe like a LE Coordination type thing?

Or, an emergency talkgroup?
