Middlesex County, Looks like a lot of digital and London and Middlesex Public Safety Trunking System, (possibly some Provoice EDACS, which can not be monitored). So you need to decide on whether you want a digital portable, which can be used at home, or a base station. Still recommend you inquire on ONT forum what works best in your county.

Hunterdgm,I had not done any scanning since the late Eighties with an old Regency scanner. Back then , i just typed in the conventional frequency and Bingo! My...have things changed. In December of 2011, i came accross this site trying to listen to live feeds. Then i got the bug! I did'nt have a clue about trunking or digital, as i consider myself "technically challenged". By Jan. 2012, with the mountains of information on this website, i was up and scanning with a Pro 106. If i can do it, so can you! You have taken the right step by showing up here!
