Another Novice Question

All,
First, I beg your patience in my journey! Quick question. I have successfully added several local conventional objects. I am getting hits on all of them, with strong signals, although I do not have any audio on any. My SQ is at 12PM, my antenna is connected. Any help for a newbie would be appreciated. One more data point, I have reintialized the factory settings.

Just out of curiousity, what scanner? My 410, 197, and 106 all scan with audio with the USB cable in the PC/IF jack. So does my 800.

Same here with my Pro-197 and PSR-500.

600. Take care!

Most unusual given that the PSR-600, PSR-500, Pro 197, and Pro 106 are essentually the same scanner. Wonder what it is with your PSR-600?

Of course none of this scanner family will allow audio if the cable is mistakenly put in the headphone jack instead of the PC/IF jack:roll:

The USB cable was plugged into the port on the back of radio, which also serves at the port for an exnternal speaker.

There ya go! Probably should have included that in my list above too. You probably won't make that mistake again!
