I know that you aren't supposed to transport scanners in a vehicle, but I am assuming this doesn't apply to if you travel with them on airplanes? The reason I ask is, I will be headed down to Orlando in December for Christmas, more than likely flying.. I usually carry my scanners in a Pelican case, so if I have to open that up and they see my scanners, can they be confiscated? I guess I have less chance though since I am a ham and carry my ticket around in my wallet.

I have traveled on many airplanes with scanners. I always have my ham license and FCC commercial license (GROL) available for inspection. I have only had to show licenses twice over the years. Usually, no questions are asked, but with all the heightened security at airports these days, you should be prepared for just about anything.
Yeah, in the past I haven't typically had to do much. I just didn't know with FL's restrictive new laws if the transportation section applied to aircraft as well.
