I answered my own question, in reference to "C.O.M.I.T."
Central
Oklahoma
Metro
Interdiction
Team

Anyway, listened to them today. It sounds as if they do not have a normal dispatcher. It sounds as if they dispatch one another.
As one would get out, he would tell the other, vice versa.

They also talk casual. It does sound interesting though.

KEEP in mind that I had to monitor in conventional mode.

Sounds like their "home" channel is: 451.85000

COMIT

http://www.daweslane.com/comit.html

COMIT is a City/County task force that patrols I-35 in the metro area, looking for drug traffic. They use both marked and unmarked vehicles and spend most of their time between NE 63rd and the Turner Turnpike entrance.

They have made some significant busts throughout the years. They are kind of interesting to listen to.

They first showed up on 158.880MHz, simplex. However, the State Department of Transportation uses that frequency statewide for supervisors. They were not thrilled with the COMIT guys showing up on their frequency.

Next, they used a VHF Marine Band frequency 156.135MHz, also simplex.

About a month ago, when the Oklahoma City Housing Authority started an LTR system on their UHF channels, the COMIT guys showed up on TG #03-250. They were only there about a week.

Now, I'm hearing them on a different LTR system, which my 2BC96D will not track. I beleive it may be a Passport LTR system. I'm sure they think this system is not scannable, and technically, it is not. However, the system is almost completely silent in the evenings when COMIT is the most active, so all you have to do is monitor their home channel in normal scanning mode. Their home channel is 451.850MHz.

Any guesses where they will show up next?

I'm going to start scanning 39MHz.

ON OKC's new Apco-25 EDACS System!!!!
OKC's digital EDACS system is not compatiable with the APCO-25 standard.

When talking about it, use the word Provoice instead of APCO-25.

I have no idea what system I was thinking of, when I mention APCO-25, I guess in doing all of this research on EDACS, LTR Systems, etc.,

I know Okla. Co and some others got grants to drug interdiction including salaries and equipment. So I bet it is on duty.
