Antarctica heard in New England
Antarctica 15476 LRA36 Oct 8, 2009 2038-2103. Signal weak but trying to gain strength, switched to USB, and checking 1 kHZ above and below, tone clearly pointed to this freq. Just barely heard at times: talk by announcer 2057, song at 2059, and signal off at 2103. Encouraging that first time heard here in S CT on a DX-440 without external antenna; will have to monitor over next few days. (Konnie Rychalsky, CT/HCDX)
