From the photo, it does not look like any connector I have seen. Looking from the end instead of the side could change my opinion.

Looks like a broken antenna that formerly had a BNC connection on it. I would simply find another antenna. They can't be more than $10. You may possibly be able to solder another BNC male connector onto it.

Aw C'mon!

Aw, C'mon guys!

Y'all gone blind? The jack on the back of the scanner is a common,
everyday, BNC Female. All he needs to do is find a BNC 90º 'elbow'
male to the radio connector, female at the 90º. Then, all he needs
is an antenna with a male, BNC. A telescoping one would be nice.

If he's going to hook it up in the house to an outside antenna, those
antennas usually have a UHF SO-230 female connector. Buy a long
length of RG-58 with both ends having a BNC male connector. He will
need a female BNC-to PL259 UHF male plug. Screw them together and
Voilà! Your're in 'bidness', LOL!

I don't know WHERE he got that odd looking, gold, telescoping antenna.
I'd take it back for a refund. Last week the Radio Shack salesperson was
selling shoes at Pay-Less, ROFL!

Blessings,

We are NOT blind, the OP said "an adapter for an antenna I got off e-Bay" and that is what the answers were referencing. We did actualy read and understand what he said for the Radio Shack comment was not needed as that is NOT where the purchase was made.

If the OP wanted, he could order a replacement, right angle BNC, telescoping antenna from Radio Shack.
