hello all, so I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the comet caa 500 mkII for experimenting with building Rx antennas for VHF/UHF.. sitting at my local airfield (KBGR) looking at the top of the control tower made me think...time to start building.... anyone else have the comet?. what do you like about or dis-like about it...

I am a lineman for the county.
+1 on the NanoVNA, it'll be much more useful for building antennas. The spectrum display will let you see exactly what your antenna is doing across a wide slice of spectrum. Much easier to visualize than with a cross needle meter like the Comet.

Plus, the VNA will be useful.

Does it need to see 50 ohm coax or will it work with 75 ohm?
