Interesting. Since we are on this topic.......Anyone have a preference on Belden 9913 -vs- LMR 400? I was looking at the specs for the brands carried by universal-radio.com....the two types of cable seem to have almost identical attenuation. They also have a very flexible variant of LMR-400 w/ supposedly similar attenuation....more flexible due to stranded center condutor. Any reason to NOT choose one of these for use at significant length (40') w/ intended 800-900 MHZ monitoring? Thanks.

I have read that 9913 cable has an issue with water intrusion if not properly sealed. One report said a guy unscrewed the coax connector from the back of his rig, cut off the connector, and water literaly poured out of the coax. Many people prefer LMR400 for this reason.
