I'm looking for an excellent handheld antenna for a BCD396T, specifically for the 155-160MHz spectrum. SMA would be preferable, but BNC will work as well.

Diamond RH77CA works pretty good. It is kinda long though. www.universal-radio.com has them. There is both a BNC and a SMA version.

I have a Centerion VHF-High Band antenna that works good too. I bought mine at waltel but he is closed now. I have no clue where to find one now.

Interestingly, I purchased the Pryme RD9SMA a couple weeks ago, which generally does well in this spectrum from what I've read & how it's listed, but the Uniden duckie that came with the 396T picks up both 157 & 162 frequencies at least 1-2 bars stronger than the RD9SMA.

I was very surprised to say the least. Do you think the Diamond RH77CA would be worth it? As it's advertised frequencies are very similar to the RD9SMA.
