Running RTL-SDR dongle with DSDPLUS. While tuned in to Military channels I can barely hear voices and alot of static. Just using a di-pole antenna inside at the moment. What would be the best antenna for this situation outside?

Nice discussion ...
- but no Procom antennas mentioned !

Procom CXL 118-144 for VHF / Procom CXL 225-400 for UHF

It really doesn't matter if it is military or CB. Having the right antenna with good placement and getting as much signal to the receiver is the same. If it is a military base,, a directional antenna might be the best choice. If it is aircraft, a discone might serve your needs.

yes - but beats most other antennas :)

I don't know why that would be, do you? They're way overpriced for what they bring to the the average radio listener. Military specs have expensive requirements that don't necessarily improve reception.
