There is a antenna forum that will have lots of answers for you :) but in the meantime a few sites to check out are either Antenna Farm or scannermaster

What month is it?
I'd like to clarify something....?

You mention CB and ham - you aren't trying to TX on the same antenna as a scanner is connected to?
How are you planning to connect multiple radios?

Or, are you only connecting one at a time?

Is what I use... just be sure to get coax with one N-male connector.

For coax something like this --> ABR Industries LLC 25400F-NM-PL-50 Cables Coaxial, 25400FNMPL50

(This is only 50ft.) (You'll need adapter SO239 to BNC for the scanner.)

Thanks , I will have that on my list.

Try the flat type HDTV antenna without the amplifier. I use them for all my base scanners with excellent results.

I like the D3000N , i think thats what i will be getting so far!

You can use the D3000 for transmitting on HAM bands of 6m, 2m and 70cm but that's it. If you try to transmit on CB with this antenna then you'll probably kill your CB radio.

If you're talking about receiving only on the SDS200 then you'll be just fine.

Ok thanks for that info!, Is there a CB and a scanner antenna that will work with a stryker 995 CB radio with usb and lsb and my sds200. I was trying to just go 1 antenna or i get a scanner antenna of some sort in 2nd floor attic about 4ft+ of height room and a separate CB antenna thats good. I was trying to not have a bunch of antennas off the side of my house. Thanks for the help!

Very doubtful. CB is 27 megs and scanners operate from 25-1300+ megs... you'll need a separate CB antenna. Like I said, you can use it for receiving -- just don't transmit on it.

do you have them flat or standing up ?
I use the Best Buy store models. There is small one and large one. If you the frequency ranges you will see they cover a lot the scanner frequencies. You will need a BNC adapter.
