Antenna ? for the Uniden Bcd99xt

I will be using the Uniden as my Base Unit I know it comes with a antenna but I live pretty far out in the country what would be a good Antenna to get other than the one that is comes with?

If you can put one outside that is best. If not an antenna in your attic if it is a wooden roof will do good. I'm stuck in a Apt and I use an mag mount antenna on a 18 inch metal plate next to a window with good results.
If you can put one outside I recommend a discone antenna.
